A couple of months ago I was asked if I might be able to restore this lovely little necklace for a lady in Doncaster who had loved the piece so much she had literally wore it to death. Some of the beads had worn right down and some had their finish rubbed off.
After the repair, the necklace feels much stronger; I’ve restrung it onto a strong beading wire and used calotte crimps to finish. I’ve replaced a number of the old beads with faceted similar matching ones that sit nicely amongst the existing bead stock. All in all it seem to gel together quite well.
