A few weeks ago I was delighted to be asked to take part in a charity event to help raise money and awareness for The Children’s Society http://www.childrenssociety.org.uk/ The event was set for last Saturday morning. And blimey what a cold one it was! All togged up I headed over to Braithwell to set up stall to exhibit my handmade accessories at the Ruddle Centre, Rotherham. The floor space was well stocked and lit with lots of pitches filled to the brim with the stallholders vast array of locally made produce.
What a grand day it turned out to be! I met some really lovely people and some great local talent… A reasonable turnout, nice warm room and lots of beverages on offer to keep us all going well into early evening. I’ve been informed by the event organiser that we managed to raise £283.10 on the day for the society which is fantastic news!
